I finally had to get an iLok when my computer died and I needed to re-authorize Auto-Tune.

EXACTLY.... this and Digi's silence are why I'm having a hard time swallowing this.. it would just be great to get more of a comment than the ambiguous language in the compato docs.

I'd hate for that to be right... and unfortunately, Apple's track record for blowing it and not caring (until the class action suit comes around) is not much better, so I'm still thinking it could...

a POWERED USB hub... not very portable.

I'm still waiting to hear some word on when/if there will be some kind of fix for the MBox 2/ PB issues... it seems like a massive crap shoot at this...

The latency is due to the fact that the MBox is USB.

Hard bypass is the input/playback knob on the front of the MBox which blends the playback signal with the analog input signal of the 2 MBox...

yes, that's exactly what connecting a converter to the spdif ins will do.

I did with my 001 and it was a decent improvement.

However, on the MBox, you won't be able to use the hard bypass...
