Upgrading from OS9 to OSX and digi-001 to digi-002

I just got my digi-002. Is anyone aware of any online documentation that steps through the process of going from digi-001 on OS9 to the 002 on OSX? If it was a clean install...I'd be fine, but I'm...

Re: Best Mic Preamp Under $500?

I've not heard the RNP, so I can't comment on how they compare to the Grace 101. I bought the 101's before the RNP was available and I can't imagine parting with them.

I do use two compressors by...

Grace 101

I have two of them and they rock. Link below is selling them for $559. It's a single channel and has no meter on the front, but really...it's a beautiful thing.

Re: word clock and Digi002

My producer has a digimax with the digi001. I don't think the setup is any different for the 002. Just connect the optical out of the presonus to the optical in on the 002. Set protools hardware...

Re: OMS/midi setup for my SR-16 drum machine

Phil,

Thanks for breaking it down for me.

Battery allows you to assign midi notes to the vitual pads.

I think you've given me enough to get started. Much appreciated.

Re: OMS/midi setup for my SR-16 drum machine

Kenny,

Are you saying that I don't need an external midi source to trigger the Battery sounds with PT?

Re: OMS/midi setup for my SR-16 drum machine

Ben, thanks for feedback.

I guess I still don't understand the difference between using the keys on a midi keyboard controller and the pads on the sr-16 to generate the midi notes. Seems to me...

Re: OMS/midi setup for my SR-16 drum machine

Well...I'm trying to evaluate a copy of NI's Battery software.

I thought that the samples in Battery need to triggered via midi. I figured I could generate the midi drum track with the SR-16,...

When I installed my LE software and did the OMS setup, I didn't have the SR-16. I've been using the SR-16 to put down click tracks via audio outs. Now, I want to enable the midi so I can trigger...

Re: external A/D converter for digi001

Well, I was able to get an Apogee AD 48 for $675. I couldn't pass it up. I'm sure I couldn't have gone wrong with either Lucid or Apogee on the AD based on all the positive feedback from both camps...

Re: external A/D converter for digi001

I have an opportunity to get an apogee...

Re: external A/D converter for digi001

I don't see a ADC-1 product on their site, only the DAC-1. Their smallest converter seems to be 4-channel unless I'm missing something.

Good to throw in the mix though. Thanks.

external A/D converter for digi001

If I understand corectly, I'll need to use some type of external A/D converter or digital mixer as a master to my digi001 in order to get a better clock source.

The better choice for me would be...
