Avid has always been slow to "support" new OS versions although Pro Tools has often been more solid on unsupported new systems than competition claiming "support."

The original "gold" Waves plug-ins seem incredibly underestimated today. Waves contracted with the top DSP developers in the world which is probably a lot of why they were so expensive.

A trim affects it in "post" mode but not "pre." I use clip gain to reduce everything to -20 to -22 = 0VU anyway so that I can use "analog-modeled" plug-ins.

While it's not automagic, the separate Avid Pro Limiter Loudness Analyzer Audiosuite plug-in is really fast. I can quickly measure a selection and then tweak the clip gain to where I want it.
