Add a new track, set the new tracks input to a buss, set the RTAS enabled tracks output to that same buss, press record on the new track.....wait until its all done, then you have the new track...

I've been looking at the Tyan dual Xeon Motherboard that supports 2 quad core processors. Anybody running anything like this, and would protools even recognize all 8 cores in the playback engine? ...

Dang...I must be so out of the loop. I'm still chugging along happily with 7.1.....looks interesting though. Seems a rack version that could do 2 ADAT ins with no pres may have made a bit more...

Is there a way to "1 click" a region seperation instead of having to hold "control" and "E" at the same time? I use "R" & "T" primarily as a zoom tool and it works wonderful, but having to hold...

I think we are talking about 2 different things. I was being specific. TL Space, and Waves IR-1 sound better than the picoverb and the nanoverb to me. If you want to talk outboard vs. plug-in...

Dude- Where on earth did you learn that? Better for mixing because of wires and electricity? Go listen to some of the convolution reverbs...you'll change your mind quick.

Isn't there some sort of external SATA interface that would essentially get you "internal" drive performance in a "hotswap" type of configuration?

I just bought the ISA828 and I really like it. I have an STT-1 and a Midas XL-42 and it is a different thing than those. I would say it's pretty neutral...extremely clean, all the way to the edge...

click "control" E to make a region. Or just highlight the audio you want and do the same thing....a region will be created.
