The 13" MBP has integrated graphics and a hard drive speed of 5400 rpms. Both are no-nos for pro tools.

Think about it like this. The bass is the sustain of the kick drum. Almost like one instrument. Ducking the bass lets the punch of the kick come through and the bass to sustain afterward.

I'm having issues. I need the two mic pres from the FTP so I connected it to the 11r via spdif. Out to in, in to out. I set the clock on the 11r to external and enabled outputs 3 and 4 on the FTP....

Is this on your studio b 2.66 mac pro? I've had this problem in PT 8 recently. Raising the buffer size from 64 seems to fix it. Not great for tracking. Just remember that PT will only utilize 4GB...

I like to DI the bass and then put the free sans amp plug followed by eleven free in the inserts. That way you can get a miced cab sound. I wish it was mine but I got it from the air users blog. ...

Ok, I would start there. You need to get an external firewire drive for this computer. It is recommended for a lot of different DAWs. It needs to have the correct chipset which escapes me now. ...
