Follow a tutorial for getting started with Mini Grand. But things to watch out for are:

Start stupidly simple. Like find a tutorial that gets you started with a session with only on instrument...

The suggestion was to add more memory/DRAM. I would just max out what you can. Companies like OWC can help you with what exact DIMMs you need. It's easy to do because the DIMMs are accessible though...
