7.3 problem (ahhh!) completing initial load

just upgraded (against my better judgement) to 7.3. all seemed to go well until the first time i ran it. drivers, plugs, hardware, etc., loads. but at the end of the process an error message...

whichever one you pick will not delete any songs, protools session files or audio files of any kind. i typically remove everything when i do something like this.

apparently the adaptec is no longer qialified. rail said in an earlier post that the change in chipset whacked it. just get the siig, it is available at most retail audio oultlets.
