Your room isn't very large is it? Not that that's a bad thing but you can definitely tell when the snare hits.

I like the kick sound for sure, the snare sounds like it's had it's balls taken off...

I use that method every time I track drums and consistently get all my drums in phase, how? Because being the exact same distance from a drum with two mics (or more) is not the only place they can be...

Bleed is okay, and is inevitable with drums, but as long as you phase align everything like I said earlier then all your mics will all be working together and your drums will sound nice and full and...

I would suggest a simple Glyn John's method.

57 on the snare up tight
58 on the kick
Solaris set to figure 8 between the floor and rack tom with the kick off axis to reduce leakage
