FS: HD2 Accel PCIe and MORE!

Pro Tools HD rig and some plug-ins! The hardware I'd let go for $2k for the whole system. Or, make me an offer.

Please let me know if you are interested. All plug-ins are full iLok licenses. Make...

Re: Why is audio file a digi-wave? Problems, please help...

Storm-01,

It sounds like the computer on the other end tried to install Pro Tools software only. And since Pro Tools won't launch without Digidesign Hardware, it throws that error message.

It...

Re: G5 optical digital output - working anyone?

Are you seeing levels on the Central Station? If not, then the problem lies before the CS. If so, the problem is the CS or after.

Hope this helps,

Re: 192 vs 96 I/O Differences

The convertors are similar but not the same. The clock is also looser on the 96. The 192 sounds better than the 96 IMHO.

Hope this helps,

Re: Burning CDs from Pro Tools

Another way to do it is if you have 1 large piece that you want to break up into regions is to bounce the entire piece, import the bounce into a new session, separate the regions and use the "Export...

Re: ADC does not compensate...

Also keep in mind that outboard gear (even analog gear) has it's own delay. 6.4 is supposed to account for the system delay but any outboard gear you need to adjust manually. In the ADC view, the...

Re: 5/04 Mix Mag...Eric Zobler, good Bnc to disk t

I have recently heard of this "phenomena" after using PT for 10 years, and decided to do my own testing. I took several sessions, did a traditional BTD and then recorded the 2MIX. Imported both BTD...

Re: Major problems With LaCie 500GB drive

luckylukedg,

I know that in the past LaCie drives were formatted from the factory with Silver Lining software which doesn't get along very well with PT. I would suggest using Apple's drive...

Re: ...and free BF plugs....

Thank you Digi for the free PI's! Unfortunately, I too suffer from the -7204 error. My current setup is PT 6.1 on 10.2.8. Perhaps jumping to 10.3.2 and PT 6.2 will help.

Thanks,

Re: Major problems With LaCie 500GB drive

Did you reformat the drive with Apple's disk utility? It used to be that LaCie drives were formatted from the factory with Silver Lining which is a big no-no with PT.

Hope this helps,

Re: ...and free BF plugs....

I too am on 6.1 with 10.2. I'm still investigating. Are you using 10.2.6 or 10.2.8?

And yes the Mastererizer is supposed to act simlar to a Lo-fi PI.

Re: OSX10.2.6 and PT\'s 6.0/6.1 stable or not!?

I am running 867 Quicksilver (single processor) 10.2.6 with 384M RAM. The file size problem I was referring to was bouncing a movie larger than 1.9G. I'm getting a weird error about MIDI filter...

Re: iMovie

iMovie still subcribes to the 1.9G file limit. For not only digitizing but also importing. It will however, great a larger file when exporting.

Hope this helps,

Re: OSX10.2.6 and PT\'s 6.0/6.1 stable or not!?

I'm running 10.2.6 with an HD and PT 6.0.1. No problems until I went to 6.1 and that just may be a file size issue.

Hope this helps,

Is your d24 a rev G1? It will need to be in order to work with your G4.

Re: Failed iLok - 8 days and counting!

What kind of problems are you having? I have several iLoks of various flavors. Some for a couple of years. Others are about a year old. All of them are working fine.

I think that's crazy. I seriously doubt that Avid and Digi have simply "given up" the market place to Apple. Let me propose a couple of other scenarios.

Knowing the Vegas trade show scene the...

It can be related to file as well as what your recording time limit is set to.
One thing that concerns me is that it's a LaCie drive. These drives come preformatted with Silverlining software. ...

Make sure that Low Latency Monitoring is not enabled. If it is Aux tracks are bypassed and ignored during BTD.
