May I suggest checking the windows HCL for hardware compatibility. Backing up your data. I would also burn all session/audio files to CD or DVD.

Try putting your windows cd in, boot with cdrom support, and then when it brings up the option to setup windows press R to repair windows. You can then use recovery console to place the lost files...

Before reformatting try going to Microsoft.com and downloading the Antispyware beta. It's awesome, just make sure to not let it run in the backround. Hope that helps.

Hey all, does anyone know the pin configuration for a d-sub input/output cable. I make all my own cables and have plenty of soldering experience so it won't be hard I just don't know the pin layout...
