The AMIII card records at 24 bits via S/PDIF if I'm not mistaken. I've been using an 01V in front @ 20 bits.

The main reason for not wanting to ditch the AMIII card is that it's in a 9500 (w/ an XLR8 G3/500 upgrade & 192Mb,) which has been working well for this system. I'm not sure how it would work with...

It would be great to be able to use a compressor while tracking. I couldn't find any mention of inserts in the docs. Can anyone confirm this?

I've done alot of research on upgrade cards, and the XLR8 G3/500 seems to have many satisfied users with PT & Logic systems, even with the 50mhz bus in the 9500.
