7.4 is better, you certainly want to stick with it. For exemple 7.3 doesn't have the Elastic Time feature.

I write this with a hope that things will change in a near future. I mean now the Music Production Toolkit is not a good deal anymore if you just need the tracks count and not all the whistle...

Midi editing looks very good in Sonar 7. Now that you can specify the behavior of Mouse buttons i guess it is one of the best piano roll. (Personally i like the midi side of Reason and Energy XT)
