Problem solved. The Vienna Instrument Pro Server consumed 8 cores. Brought it back to 6 cores and the error message didn't show up anymore. :-)

CPU limit 70% (tried 99% at 6 cores)
DAE playback buffer level 2 (1500ms)
Cache size Normal
Plugin steaming buffer level 4

Upgrade last week to 8.0.4. At the moment its set on 6 cores and 70 %

Yes, upgraded and still that problem. I have no external drive. I really tried everything.
I use Vienna Instruments as a plugin. Even get that message without any plugin active.

You are lucky. Hope there is a solution soon, because it give me a lot of stress. Still fouind it very strange there is no answer from Avid/digidesign

Do you have any idea if the CPU Overload problem can be fixed. I looked on every discussion about this subject but found NO solution. I tried everyting, core's and CPU at every setting,...

Hi everyone.
I try to connect a external TV monitor via video to firewire in PT8 m-powered.
Using a Canopus ADVC 110 converter. No signal is coming out, i can't asign the video to firewire botton....

Hi guys. Problem solved. Update from the VSL website. The plugin for Windows was developed in December 2009. Everything works. Thanks to VSL support.

I just bought PT 8 and Vienna ensemble pro.
Installed both of them.
