Which argosy do you use. I've been looking at the dual 15 workstation. It should supposedly hold two 21s but I wont be using a mixer so..

the hd1 will go for about 5000 and the 96 i/o will go for around 1500. You still have change to spare, or you can get a 192 i/o but you dont see many of...

I noticed that if I take a file and boost it to the maximum in both pt and logic, the logic file sounds louder. Maximum boost in both programs is 6 dbs.

Whats going on?

I tried it once with a 31 track project.

I know that the in-thing is to prefer logic, but I preferred the protools mix. It was easier to fit more stuff in a sonic space without resorting to eq.

The lucid ad9624 is cheaper and sounds better, according to a mastering engineer who did extensive tests. Now add $399 for a genx6...

It might be that you are not using professional DA converters.

A tip. Listen for the focus in the high hats. Also listen to the airiness of the synth sound and the general space around the guitar.

the file is 320k not 256. A difference can still be heard though not as well as the wav. I would post a wav, but nowhereradio will not accept anything but mp3s.
