How do I play from the middle of a track?

Hi all,

Can someone please help smooth out my ignorance - with M-Powered Essential, is it possible to play a track from an insertion point? everytime I hit space or play it defaults to the start...

Can anyone please help? It's a nightmare trying to track stuff.
Is there any reason why modifying the latency wouldn't have an affect?
