It's true that it looks like a -10 operating level, but why does it appear unbalanced?

Also it might not affect the quality of the audio, but it's a problem when...

When playing a "-18dBFS / 1kHz" sinus tone through any of the 4 line outputs, it delivers:

-14dBu / 0.150V -UNBALANCED-

I will mainly be editing on this setup; but occasionally also do a bit of mixing, I'm also too planning on running a QT along in protools routed to an external monitor.

Being a sound student @ a filmschool where PT is entirely incorporated; i'm looking to change my "PB/Logic/Motu896" setup to something PT compatible...

It seems like either Mbox or 002R both...
