Re: Outboard gear latency compensation question

Yeah, that's how I'm doing it. So, even if I'm printing it, what I hear is what I get. Cool.

I have two preamp channels going in via S/PDIF because I think they have better converters. So,...

Outboard gear latency compensation question

Howdy.

I have a TC Electronics M350 that I've lately been using for compression on some VO projects, and I'm liking its sound better than my plugs. I am using it as a send/return via digital I/O...

Re: Drives dismount at PT startup

Thanks again, Slim.

An update:

So, the issue returned, and before spending a hundge or so on FW400 cables
and a PC card with more FW ports than the one I have, I decided to try one
other...

Re: Drives dismount at PT startup

Thanks for that. It's still smooth sailing for now; but, what should
I do in the future if I experience the problem you're talking about?
Use FW400 for all the connections?

Thanks again for the...

Thanks, Slim, for your response. And, I have some potentially good news, which I'll get to.

Drives dismount at PT startup

Happy New Year.

I've got PTLE 7.4 running on OS 10.4.11. It's been sound as a pound,
and I have no operational issues whatsoever. The problem I'm about to
outline precedes this setup, when I...

Firewire drives unmount when I launch PT -- any ideas?

Hi.

I'm running PTLE 6.9 on OS 10.3.9 on my Powerbook with no problems, other than this rather troubling one:

When I click on a PT session to open it, the blue screen comes up and begins...

Re: 002R clocking problem -- is ADAT the only output?

Thanks.

Yeah, it works to clock off the Eureka to track, but then the 002R must be the master for the reverb.

I can live with it, I just thought I might catch a break so I don't have to keep...

Re: 002R clocking problem -- is ADAT the only output?

Thanks for the suggestion; but, I don't think that is my problem.

I'm not using two spdif devices at the same time. And, the reverb CAN clock off the 002R just fine. I'm just trying to set the...

002R clocking problem -- is ADAT the only output?

I have an 002R, a TC M350 reverb, and a modded Presonus Eureka with the AD192 digital output card.

I have the reverb routed via toslink (using an M-audio C02), and it works great.
I have the...

Re: SignalTools install issue

Thanks, but if this is true, the fact remains that the claim that it is compatible with "all" ProTools systems is false.

Good article! Thanks for that.

I'm still open to other input, but that settles my mind on a few points.

Thanks, Spk.
