Nothing worked for me except the full erase and re install, Avid were next to useless I'm afraid

Did you "wipe" the Mac first rather than update it? That's the only thing that could be different that I did . Other than that I'm afraid I don't have any ideas. I see Avid are super quick...

The only fix I found was to re install the OS on the Mac. You might want to try and ditch the protools folder in Documents, bin PT from applications, empty the trash and then re install PT. If that...

I had plenty of drive space available when the problem occurred, no idea what caused it
