Default Playback Engine on session open

Is there a way to set priorities for which playback engine I use and would like to default to? I end up opening sessions and it always wants to default to HDMI or other device rather than my MBox 2...

Just curious if the older Macbook Pro 2.33 Merom is working for Pro Tools 10. I know it's not listed as compatible but PT9 wasn't and it works just fine. Anyone using this setup that can verify?...
