Protools on intel mac how is it?

Well... I am thinking about upgrading the mac to an imac 20" and send in the Digi001 for a 002R.
What's the verdict.... is protools on intelimac working.... is it as good as a g5 dual ?

I moved it to a diffrent midi port.

Then I moved my midi interfaces to a diffrent one.

Maby not in that order but that fixed it.

I would guess that Digi is also going to have to make Universal versions of it's plugins. It probably won't happen all at once but over some time.

I have the same system as you. I added a CPU card last year and it helped boost whut I had but really falls short in alot of places.

My personal recomendations are...
Stick with OS9 and upgrade...

If you want to save a couple hundred off the latest powerbooks check out dealmac.com. I seen some PB 867mhz 12" for 1150 there. I would wait on any mac purchase at this time till after mac world....

Protools Has the option of always being the master sync...... there is no way to sync your triton as the master with protools....

You will have to sync your triton to protools via midi beat clock.

Not sure why ... but if you record it from the start with all your drums on individual tracks you don't seem to drift ....

If your doing stuf repetitive say you have a 8 bar loop thats the basis...
