As a loose comparison, go to an Apple store to look at how clear and smooth Garage Band will scroll across a 5k Studio Display without its waveforms jittering, or needing glasses to read information....

Mac OS runs at 110ppi. Most 1080p screens are ~90ppi or less, so the computer is forced to process an added degree of graphics scaling, and everything looks a little fuzzy.

#1 gripe with Pro Tools. we've been stuck with 1920 x 1080 for nearly two decades. time to put a fresh coat of paint on this mess...
