So I fixed mine!

I'm pretty sure it was due to my system drive getting full
(video editor cache files in the background) and some pref file must've got corrupted

I wound up uninstalling PT,...

Having the same issue getting "error occurred while reading the document", hangs , then quits

think it has to do with drive space
I had a video editor running in background, wrote some huge cache...
