Do you have native plugs coming after the VI's or something on the master bus? Among other things I track drums through a Roland kit at 1024 and I'm fairly sensitive to latency.

The output buffer has nothing to do with the latency on tracks in HDx. The mixer is using the HDx card.

It's not an issue with HDx even with VI's. Another reason why I like HDX. I keep my buffer at 1024 all the time and get tight VI response. Thats what Emcha was saying. You don't need to worry...

The card is not noisy in my room. I do find the interface fans (Omni and 8x16) somewhat loud.

I love HDx. I can track with DSP at low latency and I have more than enough DSP plugins to do what...
