I did contact FabFilter and they had me try a few things like disabling FabFilter plugin’s graphic acceleration in Terminal. Ultimately they couldn’t see a problem at their end.

I rolled back to 2024.3.1 and the issue is completely gone again.

I’ve rolled back to 2024.3.1 and the CPU overloads have stopped. Normal service is resumed.

At least on my system - it seems there’s something funky going on between PT 2024.6 and VE Pro.
