I use the ART/DIO with the AMIII and it works well.

It has the ability to bypass the "tube" processing as well.

Given that your system is 2 years old (or more) is an even stronger case to start over from scratch and GHOST IT ASAP. That way you will have a safe backup if the hard-drive, installs or anything...

Also check out the Radeon VE (dual head)...it outperformed many of the Matrox cards in 2d and 3d. No heatsink fan (quiet). You can find them for about $20.

Actually, they are far from air-tight...each dive has a filtered vent to avoid thermal breakdown.

I have been through @40-60 hard-drives in my occupation, the only temp fix I have seen is smacking...
