I am having different problems. We lay off to Panasonic 3700's. Digi has no machine control savy enough to deal with HD decks properly.

You can layback an AC3 stream from a 569 to Digibeta. The Sony DVW 500s are 20 bit and will pass AC3. AC3 is 16 bit. There is even a mode to alow AC3 to be compiled to one track on a digibeta.Check...
