Re: Headphone Routing Question

If you need to do it quickly, and haven't got any money, do it the other way round, i.e. send everything except click to FOH from 3+4 (or5/6, etc.), and have full mix with click on 1-2, and then just...

Re: Edit keys, anyone use them?

I bought the keyboard after having a set of stickers for a few months. This isn't to say don't buy the stickers, it's to say get them now! No exaggeration, you will work twice as quickly once you...

Re: Korg Triton Extreme .midnam Please - Accession

Hi, I've just found this thread by searching the DUC. I have an MPX500, any chance you could let me know where I can get a copy of the midnam? (Found one at Skylight recording, but they want money...

Re: Can\'t Automate plug-ins

Thanks for the suggestion Ben, sorry for not getting back, as had to finish the job in hand. I managed to get round it, by duplicating tracks, automating sends/mutes, etc.

The only new thing I've...

Re: Can\'t Automate plug-ins

How did you guys get on? This has just happened to me, and I'm mixing down an album to be finished this week. Answerbase was useless, it says 'this is a known problem, after downloading EQIII or...

Re: Rosetta FW to Logic or SPDIF to 002r?

Save yourself a lot of hassle, the 200 is great as an AD into the SPDIF. Now you don't have to worry about how expensive it is!

Dude, Where\'s My Keyboard?

PT is no longer responding to my M-Audio Radium 61 when I arm a midi track. I haven't touched any settings. The Radium is attached via an MT4 (as recommended by compatibility pages). I'm not trying...

Re: Which two PLUS plugins?

I'll definitely be getting Synchronic. It's the only 'new' deal in the list, unless you count DINR. I've been thinking of getting Recycle for a couple of months, and now I don't have to. Cool!

The...

Re: iTunes 4.9, is it broken?

He shouldn't be on 10.3.9. It isn't supported by Digidesign. That's only problem one. Yes there are problems with iT 4.9, I was getting terrible pops/crackles speed errors, the works. Only safe...

Re: MPC 1000 with ProTools LE SYNC Problem

I'm sure Jon is right, but I've always had problems syncing Roland gear with Pro Tools. I have a VS2480 which I set as the master for MMC, but have the 002R as the clock source. It won't work the...

Re: New successor to the Mbox soon?

On the big question here, I agree with the cynics. Low end PT access will be via M-Audio (which will probably be rebadged!). At least there are a few options, even if they are all exceptionally ugly....

Re: Reason not found in plug ins folder

That should do it. If it doesn't, do a restart, launch PT, then manually launch Reason, it will slave itself, and from then on PT knows where to find it. Don't know why it works, but it did for me.

Re: NY Effect Question:

Actually, slightly disagree with some of the descriptions. Originally used on vocals, side-chain compression can use very subtle compression settings, not just battering the living daylights out of...

Re: Bleeding problems with REASON application

How are you set up? Sounds like you're just taking a stereo out through Rewire instead of the full sixteen.

Re: 192 bit HD system-really THAT much more fidelity?

Agree. 192 is a complete waste of time unless you're mixing 7:1 for film. If you are only going to produce red book audio CD, record at 24bit 44.1khz, the extra bit rate gives you lot's more headroom...

Re: Ok guys, im practically begging for your help now.

G5s don't have Classic installed. You have to install it specifically from an additional software disc if you want it, so it's likely our guy hasn't got a classic mode to go to, or worry about.

It...

Re: Something I never understood about compressors

You don't say which compressor, and you don't say the ratio. You can set the thresh to -24, but if the ratio is 1:1 it won't do anything! -8db would count as controlled compression in any case. For...

Re: How do I give ProTools keyboard shortcut priority?

It's so you don't screw up the parameter you're trying to change. It's only a click rather than a push. Have you got your transport in your toolbar?. I hardly ever use the floating transport.

Re: Recording levels with RTAS synths

Yep, because it's already a digital signal, so you're getting the full number of bits generated by the soft synth without any loss of detail. That doesn't mean you're filling every bit, because as...

Re: Direct contact with Digidesign - is it possible?

Put in a TSR Form, from the technical support pages. I get answers within hours. Make sure it's a Eurotech support request, otherwise it'll default to States, who will then just re-route to Euro...
