wait-- now that i have protools LE working, when i try to launch logic i get the error all over again. any idea on how to configure it right?

guess what... i just figured it out. it was as freaking simple as checking "use default devices only" in the sounds/multimedia control panel. i am a dunce. it works.

so i initally had a DAE -4 error... i went through the answerbase and all the documentation and discovered i needed to disable hyperthreading. easy enough, sure.

finally i got protools to load, so...

I'm getting a DAE -4 error when I launch the new LE on XP. My heart is broken. The card was recognized just fine, the driven installed just fine, and the green light is on. Any clues?

damn.. i just bought windowsME. it's supposed to be just an upgraded version of 98.. but when i installed it, my protools HW wasn't working (even tho i have 2 HW profiles). is it because ME loads...

i think i figured it out--

when you originally configured your software and went to the control panel > system > device manager ... were you able to specify the dma settings for your hard disk...

every time i try to play the sound test, it'll play 3 seconds of the song and then i get an error message saying that it takes too long to interrupt and that i should increase my h/w buffer size. ...
