Also, if you're in the key command focus mode (little "a...z" box in upper left corner of edit window) you can press the n key to turn this preference on or off. Both ways can be useful.

I've been using FWB Hard Disk Tool Kit to format my 8gig SCSI hard drives to Mac Os standard. Less errors than with Mac OS HFS+ type but both are very slow with navigating and zooming in protools....
