Re: When does PT make new UIDs?

New UIDs are created when files are converted (sample rate, bit depth etc.) or when they're imported through the import audio dialog or when they're duplicated using audio suite.

UIDs remain the...

Re: Can\'t export an OMF from PT

Just to be clear, you're trying to "Export Selected Tracks as OMF?"
Are you trying to go back to an Avid system (using "Enforce Avid Compatibility"?)

Re: 5.3 Import Tracks missing audio

Alternately, could it be that the source session start time is much earlier than the start time of the session you're importing into? I don't have any other explanation for what you're seeing. Anyone...

Could it be that the session start times are different and your audio is being imported way down the timeline? You could check by using the relative timecode option in the dialog.

Re: Slow Searches with Digibase

Glad you're finding the tool useful.

Yes, the lack of long filename support is a drag. They're not really "garbage" characters. That's the way that MacOSX passes long file names through the old...

Re: Slow Searches with Digibase

Interesting. Someone else on the DUC also reported inexplicably lousy DigiBase performance with network drives. I wonder if they were having the same problem.

I'm not sure why having the waveforms...

Re: Slow Searches with Digibase

DigiBase does searches in 2 passes. The first pass searches the databases for the areas being searched. The second pass goes directly to the file system in case the databases are not up to date (e.g....

Re: PT 6 in OS X takes over 5.1 sessions

john@wombat studios, you can eject removable media from the "Workspace Browser" mini-menu.

hesnodgrass1, do the sessions saved in OSX have a session icon when you view them in OS9?

I'd like to know if others are seeing this kind of behavior. I worked with the application on a 100 Base-T network for months and never saw anything like this.
