Also check out izotope Vinyl, which is FREE from www.izotope.com. (http://www.izotope.com.) It allows you to apply a warp effect, if you aren't looking to slow all the way down or start 'the record'...

The monitors are active so they should be connected to the MBox with line cables, not speaker cables. If that doesn't fix the problem make sure everything is plugged into the same power circuit.

Could be a permissions problem, so check to make sure those are set correctly.

Sometimes this happens to me, but I find that if I restart Pro Tools and power cycle the drive I'm OK.

Plug the iLok directly into a USB port on your computer if it was plugged into a peripheral, like your keyboard. I DID THIS AND THE SITUATION DIDN'T CHANGE
