@nailbrush

Any one you can afford. I have the 920 (bottom of the line), and it's fantastic. Of course it's overclocked, but being able to do that adds to the value. Just make sure to pick up a...

@ OceanCat

Check out my signature. I have a very modest build and it performs fantastically. You might be able to get something similar to that for what you're willing to spend. I hope that helps!

Re: i7 Builds - Specs and Results

Have mine running with no problems on a 400W... Don't expect to put one of these high-speed, high-cost video cards in it though.

@ Empire

It's up to you, how much horse-power do you want? How much are you willing to spend for that extra power? I got the 920 and overclocked it. I never expected to get the amount power I'm...

Re: i7 Builds - Specs and Results

Yea in bios, you disable it, though since I'm not at the computer right now I can't remember the exact setting. Look for something about a full screen logo in bios.

Re: i7 Builds - Specs and Results

Hey mano, get your mind out of the gutter!!! LMAO! Actually, that's the reason why Intel calls it the HEXAcore, but sexacore is a totally valid way to say it. The six core i7 that came out, has...

Anyone out there using the sexacore? REALLY expensive, but I'm super curious to know how that runs wth PTLE, with how great the 4 core i7 is running with Windows 7 x64.

Re: i7 Builds - Specs and Results

That fan should be more than sufficient. I didn't look at it originally, and as a matter of fact I wish I had bought a bigger case to accomodate that fan.

FSB is Front Side Bus, it's the data...

Re: i7 Builds - Specs and Results

It's looking good. Definitely get a third-party fan for the CPU, because to get the RAM to run at the stock speed I beleive you'll have to OC the FSB. That will create added heat to your...

Re: i7 Builds - Specs and Results

I wouldn't worry about it too much with the voltage and timings set correctly in BIOS. But guitardom probably knows a little more than I do on the subject. Are these the latest versions of CPUZ and...

Re: i7 Builds - Specs and Results

@godhatesusall

There aren't any BIOS settings that should interfere with the multiboot environment.

Be sure to partition each OS accordingly, and leave space for the next consecutive OS to...
