Heck I had a couple of SSD's just dangling from SATA cables. Since there aren't any moving parts and they're so light you can get away with it. However in my most recent build I found an adapter...

Yes!! Top Fuel style!!

My Cooler Master heatsink is big too but just fit in the CM Silencio case. Dunno what these makers are thinking with these supersize radiators. Are they a bit overkill...

Tip of the week ma fren...got my PT to pop open real fast on the SSD now. I also told it not to scan .wavs as well. Kinda just poked around in MS Sec-E and did no harm and got much goodness.

The Sata 6 cables supplied with the Asus x79 Sabertooth MB have white ends and spec'd as such. Dunno if that's the case on the parts market. Quite frankly my OCZ SSD booted in about the same...

Good question. I use the DM4800 as a controller for the MacPro rig...PT sees Tascam's 3 groups of 8 faders via USB in peripherals prefs, and of course those can be banked as needed. I do my Foley...
