That MBox2 solution looks very attractive (I have one, limping along in Mavericks) --and PT 8

BUT ...

I have a Digi 002 that worked great on Snow Leopard on my old (and dead) MBPro. All it does...

Mbox 2 won't work with El Capitan. For that reason I stayed on Mavericks 10.9.5 where Mbox 2 will record but not play back (for long) - so I'm using the mbpro's headphone output and the MB2 as input....

My MBox 2 is working with Mavericks 10.9.5 with the corresponding driver - after several fruitless trials.
