@77pro, if the only purpose of the computer is ProTools, I don't see much of a reason to spend the extra money on Win 7 or more than 4GB of RAM until there's a 64bit version of PT. Do you agree?

I've been doing some research on RAM, and correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like Windows XP only supports up to 4GB. Is there anything to be gained by installing more than that? Will the XP...

I'm thinking about putting a SSD in my next build, not as the program or recording drive, but to store the sample sets for programs like Ivory, BFD, and Reason. I'm hoping to get better load times...
