Re: Japanese script when I log in to Avid!

...and in fact, all the language options were written in Japanese too! But I hit one at random; it turned out to be Spanish, and from there I could click on "Inglese!" Phew! :-)

Re: Confused about "bonus" licensing offer

Hello again, well that's all very strange. I may have logged in to the DUC from other accounts from time to time, but as far as I knew my registered e-mail address was the same for the DUC and my...

Re: Japanese script when I log in to Avid!

Thanks... I'll try that. Difficult to work that one out when it's in Japanese characters! :-)

Re: Confused about "bonus" licensing offer

Hi JC, thanks very much for looking into this for me. Good to know that I'm entitled to receive PT 12.5 and that I should have got 15 months Upgrade subscription, so I'll get on to that via a Support...

Confused about "bonus" licensing offer

Hi folks, I wonder if anyone else has been caught by this.

Back at the end of 2014 there was a "Bonus" offer: pay for an Upgrade and Support plan and get 15 months for the price of a year. Seemed...

Re: PT 11 and Core Duo iMac

Good call DetroitT, but that's only half the answer, is it not? I mean, suppose the iMac does work with 10.8.3; that doesn't necessarily mean it'll run PT 11, does it?

Re: PT 11 and Core Duo iMac

Thanks for the replies. Running PT9 on Snow Leopard just now, so just a bit scared that the move up may just be too much for the old gal!

PT 11 and Core Duo iMac

Hi folks, I know that "unsupported" doesn't mean "won't work", but has anyone any thoughts on whether my August 2009 2.66 GHz Core Duo iMac will run PT 11?

Re: CPTK gone in PT11

I'm moving to Manchester! £2.30 for a pint? £3.70 for ale here in Edinburgh... £4.00 for Guinness!

Re: Every time I press play, the timeline jumps back 2m03s...

This has been a bug as long I've used Pro Tools. Pre-roll just randomly switches on or adjusts itself with no warning to something ludicrous - I've seen it do 1hour plus before now!

It's...

Re: Uneven mono guitar waveform?

Perfectly normal. Only a pure sine wave is exactly symmetrical. Your asymmetry is causing it to sound as it does, so as was already said, if it sounds good that's all that matters.

Re: Find clipping regions in PT10

If you insert the bundled TL MasterMeter as a plugin and run the audio through it it'll build a list of the times when all your "overs" occured. It's not quite the automatic function you're looking...

Re: Pro Tools Aggregate I/O

Well if it's definitely a software bug I hope they find a solution for you. Before you said that I was going to suggest checking that your toslink connection was fully home in the socket. I had a...

Re: stereo interleaved or multiple mono to send for pre-master?

Interesting debate, however is the difference between dual-mono and interleaved stereo not just a setting in the file header?

In other words, there's no conversion required to go from one to the...

Re: PT alternative for Auto-Tune?

You can actually do quite a lot with PT's inbuilt Pitch Shift. It's almost quicker than going through Melodyne if you just have a few duff notes.

Separate the offending region and pull up the...
