Faders in Sends?
I was mixing a record, and suddenly, half my send's went away, and a little fader showed up. I've been getting around it, but now it's getting annoying not being able control my old sends. How do I...

In my Pro Tools LE 8.0.1, my Pluigin inserts disappeared, and only the sends are in there. Any ideas how to get my inserts back?
Thanks!

Re: HD 1 System in South Korea: $6,500. Should I?
As I understand it, so please correct me if I'm wrong, Digi dealers are region based. Meaning if there's a Digi dealer in your area (region) another dealer can not sell to you, which would violate...

Any server case you get will have ample room for full length cards, after all, that's what they're designed for.

Re: Running Windows HD3 on a Mac
With the Windows vs OSX opinions aside, running a professional recording rig from a VM is just a bad idea. Either from Windows to Mac via VM, or Mac to Windows. A VM takes processing power, which...

Re: Help needed! Session will no longer open!
When I had that issue it was because of my WAVES plugins I was using, wrong version for Pro Tools 8, and that's how it manifested itself. It was sporadic.

Re: Reducing the level of a neve 1073 into protools?
You probably need to build a -6db or -9 pad to insert on the channel for drums. Because...well, it don't gots one to lower the input gain enough. If you don't attenuate, it'll be too rough for the...

Re: Vocal compression help
I tend to compress lightly first to get it in the pocket if needed, then I automate it to dial it in the rest of the way after I've got the "sound" I want. It keeps the mixes much more dynamic and...

You really wont garner much improvement, honestly. The main draw for SSD, vs. a normal hdd is the fact it's non-volatile - no moving parts. They (SSD) also tend to boot faster because they benefit...

All you did by creating a track and selecting input 3 was setup that input for recording. You still need to route the audio out.
So, you should go to your audio track with the material, click on...

If it's already fitting in the track nicely, why do you have to use compression? If you don't have to, then don't use it.

Re: Need help building new system!!!
Although an HD rig would be fun, it's really not neccesary in your situation, and really, the MBox 2 Pro would work also. You could get an API and/or Neve pre, and track guitar through a 57 and a...

Re: A- designs Pacifica?????
I'd suggest an SM7b for more aggressive vocals and Mojave MA200 for singing parts, or less aggressive stuff. Both of them can be hand for under your $1200 (I believe).
