I've been in the habit of inserting McDSP's AC2 when mixing overhead channels. It adds that warmth mentioned above.

Try unplugging the mouse, and plugging it back in again. This trick works for me when my mouse freezes.

I'm running PT 5.1.1 Mix+ on 300mhz B&W g3. No huge problems. Crashes once in a while, but 95% of the time it works great. No problem with playback running 32 channels from an EZQuest Firewire...

I have the demo as well. I've tried it as a re-mastering tool with great results. I've also tried it on single instruments, and it greatly enhances the sonic detail. And don't forget it's cheaper...

Record a bass guitar direct through console to Protools and then bus it back out into an amp. I've tried sending the bus through a D.I. box with the pad...

i don't think so. We'd be fools to think that Digi isn't working on ProTools X right now. Just look at the number of posts in the PT windows section compared to the mac section. Nobody is using PT...

well, for one reason, Apple is now shipping OS X as the default OS. We can suspect that support for earlier version of Mac OS to slowly disappear. Also, I believe there are many advantages to OS X...

AUTOMATION Blues!!

i'm running 5.1.1 and I am getting a sparratic inability to write/touch/latch volume automation to a track with the fader. I can draw the automation with the pencil tool, but the fader will not...

i'm guessing that it won't be for a while, but it's gotta be only a matter of time until ProTools goes X. anybody have any ideas or wisdom??
