Nice idea, thanks, but I'd prefer to keep my second drive for audio only. I was more hoping users who have stable PPC/Tiger/002R/PTLE 7.0 systems might chime in with comments about stability.

My new I-Book 1.33 gets 28 tracks on DaveC using external FW hardrive. (PTLE 6.4) It records 32 tracks with a normal amount of plugins seamlessly.

I'm not sure, but I can't imagine "backgrading" to Panther on a machine pre-installed with Tiger is probably intentionally difficult. I bet most you'd order from Apple Online will have Tiger by now....

Wow, that's great. I'm glad they finally:

1) Recognized it
2) Admitted it
3) Put out a fix.

Can't wait to see if this resolves people's SP2 & Firewire issues with buffer errors.
