If you use HD i/o. Or the older 192s. hardware inserts are automatically fully compensated.

Which is why I only use HD i/o and 192s.

So op should stick to hd I/O IMO.

The main reason to use hdx is for recording. Still heads and shoulders above native for recording. When mixing I don't use hdx plug-ins really. I'm still using hdx 3 for the headroom in a Mac pro...

I've actually been using protools since then yes. And digidesign had their own team separate from avid team. Their own support and programmer, etc... avid was video. Digi was it's own separate...
