Nah. If you're already running 10.5.6 then you don't need 10.5.5 (I don't even think it's possible to revert back anyways). If you haven't already done so, I would download the 10.5.6 combo...

8 is amazing. Be prepared to restart your computer during installation of 7.4. Remember to restart you pt8 installer download after restart to pick up where you left off.

I'm pretty sure you don't need to install 7.4 prior to 8. Directions from Digi say you need to clean uninstall 7.4 and then install 8. 8 isn't technically and upgrade.

I was trouble shooting...

Yeah, I'm on 8. 7.4 defaults to notes view, but 8 defaults to regions view. I checked the MIDI prefs last night and didn't see anything regarding this. I swear it wasn't there, but I will check...

Install Pro Tools LE.mpkg = 1.52gb (a lot smaller than what download says)

Pro Tools Creative Collection.pkg = 828.9 mb

Does that match yours, Big?
