I am editing some tracks, I want to place the cursor at a certain point and have it not move while I grab tracks and nudge to that point.

I found a post that said to change the buffer setting and change it back, it works fine now, who knew?

Yes, in Cubase you can set the markers on the timeline and they stay there until you move them. It's very nice to not have to go find the exact spot again.
