Ive noticed when using a USB keyboard as the controler in conjuction with koblo through the griffin imic usb device there is latency in response of hitting the keys to getting the sound to produce....

Go to your extensions manager in your control panel from the apple menu. Set up your extensions so that only the ones utilized for the mac os 9 and protools are selected... Deselect any extension...

Im running with 384mb of ram...I haven't tried it with less, but 128mb should be fine. The fact that you can record through the built in mic says something...I think it may be a conflict with the emi...

I was just thinking, damn...a huge price difference. $450 is well worth protools le by itself. Were talking a couple of db difference in dynamic range between the usb-pre and the mbox...but, **** ...

I jumped onto the usbpre website and was sold...I just had to find one. Its amazingly quite and crisp. I started by using a senheiser mk2, then went ahead and invested in a blueberry mic...amazing...

yes...I believe that is also called "zero latency external monitoring." The USB-pre also has that capabilty, but the problem arises when I am recording the new track through the soundmanger and into...

problem solved

I followed some instructions that a fellow user(Za) posted regarding a processing error similar to the one I had. One of the sugestions was to modify the extensions upon the macOS...
