Cost of Surround sound......

I do a fair bit of theatre sound, (as well as recording a fair bit of folk music for CDs....), using Protools LE8 for midi and fx preparation and have the need these days for some surround sound...

The "other issue fixes" must be b****y serious to delay a fix that would / might cure the unusability of the whole software package for, apparently, many users....

Coming over from the PC forum.....
There are many of us on the PC platform having SEVERE cpu overloading problems with PT8.
It all is linked to high cpu usage for just drawing the edit...

I would gladly contribute (in an amateur way perhaps) to testing a release that helped this problem. Couldn't do worse than those who tested before release......
