HELP! 002 locks up!

i was just using my 002 listening back to a session, when all of a sudden it says it's "unable to communicate w/ Digi hardware, please reconnect" even though nothing had been unplugged..

not sure if this is the only way to do it, but what i do is make a session file the way you want the template to be. add your tracks and your plug-ins and your aux channels, etc. etc. then save it...

it's okay. no, i know better by now not to fix what ain't broken. i've been using 6.4 since i got it back in January 05, which is why this "Pro Tools unexpectedly quit" thing is so odd.

OT: Recommend me a good external vocal reverb unit

So my band finally has a workable PA, but the vox sound pretty close to horrible. lots of boom and flatness and muddiness all around. I was wondering if there's anything anyone can recommend that...

so...like a newbie, i used to just go to Audio Regions menu, select Unused, and Clear Selected.....then like a dumb ass i would select DELETE REGIONS FROM DISK and just option+click the whole thing...

this thing looks pretty cool

but how can you use it w/ 002? do you plug it in to the FW port on the back of the console or external HD?

EDIT: I just realized I can't use that thing anyway,...

so I've been using an Alesis SR-16 drum machine for years now and have gotten pretty adept at programming entire beats, sequencing them into songs, etc.

I used to just record stereo in to ONE...

well i'm pretty sure you have to plug the 002 into a 400 port since that's all that's on the back and the kind of cable they give you

i plug my external lacie drive into 800 port cos it transfers...

well I just got off the phone w/ Digi and they are saying it shouldn't be a problem, as they have both the 002R and 002FB in stock and they process orders as soon as they recieve them
