Re: please advise me on my next gear purchase

I'd say waves.
Of the three, nothing will have a greater positive impact on your mix. Having the RComp and L1 Maximizer alone will blow away any of the differences you pick up from the pre or...

Re: 15 day trial INFLATOR plugin from Sony

So is it intended to serve a similar purpose as Waves L1/L2 Maximizer? FOr mastering and dithering? Sonically how does it compare?
It's not clear from the site and my PT is working so smooth right...

Re: Who Isnt Getting Noise from their Mbox?

I was one of the first people with noise issues. My noise issue got resolved by a combination of installing Service Pack 1 fully, a new power supply for my comp (nothing fancy just better than the...

Re: MBOX Digital Distortion on Basic Audio Track Record

I've had the same problems (search DUC). I've got it pretty much under control now. One thing to check is if you go to vary the buffer if the distortion goes away for the next take. That worked...

Does anyone have a bar chime sound?

Just a nice simple sweep that I can play around with and manipulate? I know you came through with a great gong sound for the guy who needed one!
Thanks so much,

Re: master cd volume too low

Sounds like you need a compressor/limiter on your master fader. The simplest and best sounding solution I've come across to raise my levels cleanly is Waves L1. Costs a lot tho unless you find...

Session Audio Files, how to play them individually?

Hey guys,
When I create a new session, PT creates a folder where it keeps all the .wavs that are used in the song, and even waves that were in the song that were removed for backup reasons. Under...

I've been running MBOX on XP - after a few initial bugs things are running pretty close to perfect.

Re: Best Keyboard for making Hip Hop Beats???

Well a cheaper alternative to the Triton (a mighty beast) considering you have a Sequencer/Sampler already and Protools (I'm assuming) would be something like a Novation Bass station - tonnes of hip...

Re: Digital Ticks

Hi,
Sorry I should've mentioned - the only things I record are via the Analog inputs - so using the mic preamp or just the standard 1/4 ins.
Keep the suggestions coming please!
Thanks,
Minh

Anyone using AKG C4000B out there?

Re: Hum/Buzz/Noise with MBox and Windows XP

I figured out the noise problem.

Be careful which USB port you're using.
The A7V333 and most new mobo's have both USB 1.0 and USB 2.0 ports - however externally they look identical or pretty...
