Nudge now changes track view

I must of somehow touched a hot key or something, when I hi light a region in waveform , I used to be able to nudge with the + or - keys to whatever I have nudge set to.

Now - changes track view...

Was just mentioning the template thing in case there was a bug/fix that had happened to people before.

Trying to help a friend with his pro tools rig. 11.1 something I think.

But weirdness abounds.

Like input list starts at null 1, null 2, mic/line 1, mic 2, etc.

I would copy the 50 bars of space on all tracks from the timeline, change to shuffle mode, click where you want to add, paste. BAM!

you can select what the grid shows, then select bars and beats.

why minutes and seconds are there I'm not sure, this has screwed me over more than once.

Suggesting compressing when all something needs/wants is turning up

might be confusing for some.

You also might be too close to the mic when tracking.

Increase the space between you and the mic, and you'll be surprised how much smoother, and less spikey it can be.

The last thing I would tell somebody new is to slap a compressor on something.

The quickest way to a bad small lifeless sound.

You can't hear your drums, but your compressing them, and E. Q. ing them.

Shouldn't you be turning them up?

Clicks and Pops thru ADAT in w/clock set to optical

They are very frequent.

Not as frequent as if I have the clock set to internal (massive clicks)

Setting the clock to optical used to fix this, but since it doesn't fix it now,
I'm stuck.

Dither to 24 bit ?

My hunch is they wanted a 24 bit data file, as oppossed to a 16 bit audio cd.
