Well, I gave up. I am back on Windows 7. I don't get nearly as much out of the CPU on Windows though. Even after all of the optimizations.

Like I said I have the ethernet disabled in the bios. Just to be sure I enabled it and made sure it was called eth0. It was. No difference. Even when pro tools opens and it starts...

Thanks, It looks like something else is going on. I guess its not a consistent 38 samples. Its jumping around between 30 and 70 samples it looks like.
