Re: Digi001 Help.

Re: Digi001 Help.

Digi stopped including drivers for the 001 after 6.4. They claimed that they could not technically support the unit any longer but that has been widely rumoured to be false.

Re: \"THE OPERATING SYSTEM HELD OFF INTERUPTS FOR TOO LONG

I built my system myself exactly to their recommendations and I occasionally get this error. It's just too easy to throw "compatibility error" out there with no other explanation.

Re: speed up 78 vinyl from 45rpm transfer!

Record the 78 with the turntable at 45. Set the sample rate at 25442. Change the rate back to 44.1 for playback (or if you want to go hifi use 50884 and 88.2).

The RIAA curve is very...

Re: Stereo \"gain\" plug in

Thank you all (esp JMS 40, no, you were not wrong, you were quite helpful) for your thoughts. I knew that I could split stereo into two mono but didn't realize that returning it to a single stereo...

AudioSuite on Stereo tracks

Is there a way to apply AudioSuite processing to just one channel of a stereo track without splitting the track into mono?

Thanks.

Re: a/b tracks

Then either I unmute it and hear both or mute the other and hear neither.

Re: a/b tracks

That sounds like a winner. Thanks, I'll check that out.

Edit: I tried it. That is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks so much.

Re: a/b tracks

Anyone?

I was hoping that perhaps you could solo the two tracks in question and then there would be some sort of shortcut key to toggle back and forth.

Re: Stereo \"gain\" plug in

Thanks for the suggestions. Before I acquire something, let me ask. Do any of these analyse "find peak" and tell you the peak volume for each channel?

Stereo \"gain\" plug in

Is there a plug that you can use to measure and correct gain in each channel of a stereo track separately? For example, if you record an album and one side is hotter than the other due to cartridge...

a/b tracks

Okay, I'm sure this is a stupid question about something very basic, but I don't know how to do it and that is what this place is here for, right?

How do I, with one click or one keyboard...

Re: Industry standard engineering headphones?

Under $100. Only one choice for monitoring with headphones. Grado SR 60. They sound as good or better than the HD 600's at a fraction of the price. The drawback is that they are open air so...

Re: How can I fix a dropout on a track?

I came up with a good fix. I took the last 1/20th of a second before the dropout and copied/pasted it. I then dropped volume 1/2 db to help simulate the note continuing to decay. I then TCE'd...

Re: How can I fix a dropout on a track?

I thought of the cut/paste ideas suggested here, I just thought that given the mathematical way in which Protools handles WAVs, that it would have a way of "creating" what should be there. I've...

How can I fix a dropout on a track?

I have a recording that suffers a short dropout (just over 1/10th of a second). Is there a way for Protools to "fix" the spot by averaging the information on each side of the break to fill it in? ...

Re: Digitizing Vinyl LPs

Even if you don't need the preamp, you need the preamp for the RIAA curve. Direct from turntable to MBox will sound very shrill, even if you have a good level and proper ground.

I have used DINR...

Re: Help me install my old d2/d3 on 6.4le for Windows

You need cs6/9 if your XP is SP2 or higher. If you are at a fresh install or SP1 then you don't need it.

I don't know about the plugs. Like most software based in 98 installed on XP, some runs...
