Did you try to find the install instructions for Win7 64bit? Because this is one of those cases where not following the install instructions to the "t" will render a digi 002 unrecognized.

You can always check your Firewire cable by plugging in another Firewire device to see if that one works.

There are specific instructions for loading 002 drivers with 8.0.5 and Windows 7 64...
